Spelling:
At Redfield Edge, we follow the ‘No Nonsense’ spelling scheme, which involves 5 lessons over 2 weeks, from year upwards. The scheme directly teaches spelling rules linked to the National Curriculum. Each week or two weekly block focuses on a spelling rule which is taught and followed up with activities to consolidate this learning. Your child’s teacher will also send home spellings linked to this spelling rule for children to learn and practice ready for their spelling test.
