Year 2 will also be sent homework each Friday that needs to be completed and returned to school by the following Friday. It will be either Maths or English based.
A little and often approach can be taken – some suggestions include:
Times table songs – Below is a list of song which can be found on YouTube:
Alternatively just search the times table on YouTube and there are hundreds!
Online Games – Just by searching “times table games” you will find hundreds of sites which can help develop you child’s number fact knowledge.
Maths Apps – ‘Doodle Maths’ has been recommended to us by previous parents.
Children will change their library books in school on a Friday afternoon.
The library is open for children to borrow a book for 14 days after which it needs to be returned to the library and changed or renewed. Each book has a unique library bar code. Every child has their own code as well so books are scanned in and out of the library. Please do not return library books to the classroom.
If you have any queries regarding the library please see Mrs Noad or Mrs Sheppard.
|Please ensure your child has their full named PE kit in school. PE bags are sent home every holiday giving parents an opportunity to wash items and check that their kit still fits. PE clothing that is too small restricts the children and is uncomfortable.
PE kits should be in school every day as on occasions PE sessions may be rearranged.
