About Me

I am originally from Sussex, but spent 6 years living in Oxford, where I went to University and began my teaching career. I have worked at Redfield Edge since I moved to Bristol in 2012 and have enjoyed welcoming different children into their first year of education.

During the school holidays, I enjoy going abroad and in the last few years I have enjoyed trips to Canada, America, the Dominican Republic and South Africa as well as several trips around Europe. I enjoy reading and would love to write a children’s book one day. I love going to the theatre and have seen most west end shows, my favourite of which is Matilda. I enjoy keeping fit and go to the gym or for a run, when I’m not too exhausted from an action packed day at school!

Education Philosophy
During their time in my class, I hope that children will make friends, learn to be respectful of others, feel valued, be happy and love learning. Children should feel safe, enabling themselves to take risks and seek challenge as well as develop their perseverance, concentration and listening skills. Children develop so much during their first year at school and I enjoy seeing them begin their learning journey and progress throughout their years at school.
